Mission: To provide training, support, camaraderie and career opportunities for flexible workers and their managers online.

Beyond 9 to 5 aims to provide training and support around the area of flexible working practices, for employers and managers, and for workers wishing to create or take advantage of flexible working opportunities for themselves. We support employers aiming to minimise redundancies and encourage the development of opportunities for individuals seeking flexible working roles.

Beyond 9 to 5 is a community-based online network to support flexible workers in their specialities, for day-to-day help with running small enterprises, "portfolio" careers or flexible employment. We also offer continuous professional development, including opportunities to meet offline.

Aims:

• To deliver a number of online collaborative courses that give workers the skills to earn a living working flexibly from home or from wherever they choose.
• To create a number of focused online communities to support flexible workers, co-workers and home-workers in their specialities, for managers of small enterprises for day-to-day help, to support "portfolio" careers or flexible employment, plus continuous professional development of managers of flexible workers, including opportunities to meet offline.
• To create small business portals through which our flexible workers can find employment and clients, and businesses can find flexible expertise and talent.

Our practical and relevant courses are backed up by genuine career opportunities via cooperation with our partner, Flexworks UK.

Businesses need to hire in specialist talent as and when they need it, and individuals need to be able to gain the sort of skills that can be used flexibly to create an online career from a portfolio of clients. Beyond 9 to 5 is the solution.
